Are you good at verbal reasoning or abstract reasoning? Traditionalists or curious? Psycho-aptitude and personality assessments bring out objectively, and without gender bias, who we are and how we relate to others. This is why they are widely used for both recruitment and internal growth. We asked those who create them and those who use them how they work.

“We only publish scientific tests,” clarifies Chiara Busdraghi, head of research and development at the publisher, “that is, standardized on large samples of the general population. We measure a candidate’s performance against a homologous sample in terms of age and social background, taking into account two criteria: validity (i.e., whether we actually measure what we want to measure) and reliability (i.e., whether the results are stable over time-if I subject a person to the same test twice, I get the same result).”
